The chassis is built on the FCX24 platform and retains the micro two-speed mechanical transmission from earlier K5 models. The outer-rotor design reduces noise and vibration while improving high-speed performance and crawling capability.

To enhance durability, the chassis features metal steering linkages, metal oil-filled shocks, metal gears, and metal ball bearings.
