Hobbies 'N' More Shipping Information

Delivery Times & Costs:

All our products are usually be dispatched within 7 - 14 days when orders are received Monday through Thursday.

Occasionally a product may take longer to dispatch due to unforeseen circumstances, if this is the case an new estimated shipping date will typically be provided within 48 hours of placing the order.

Our online shopping cart will automatically calculate postage and list options for different shipping carriers.

Customers will be notified via email / text message when an order has been dispatched, this will then also include a tracking number.

Shipping Carriers:

Our preferred carrier is Australia Post as it enables the delivery to PO Boxes and locked bags. We ship dangerous goods and lithium batteries via Star Track Express. Dangerous good and lithium batteries incur a surcharge which is included in the quoted price.

Upon checkout, the customer will be presented with a total of shipping costs. Whilst this is usually accurate, we reserve the right to alter the shipping costs in cases of extreme inaccuracy.

Shipping Delays and Goods Damaged in Transit:

We have no control over transit times once we have dispatched goods. Likewise, goods are shipped at the risk of the buyer, and we are not responsible for any damages that occur during transit. We can arrange shipping insurance for an additional fee, however please note, carriers only insure against damaged caused by the carrier. This means acts outside of the control of the shipping carrier, such as weather events, motor vehicle accidents or damaged caused by third parties.

Australia Post doesn't consider a parcel "late" until at least 30 days since postage have elapsed, and as such, we are unable to open a lost item claim until that time.

Shipping Restrictions:
Some dangerous goods may not be able to be shipped at all. Specific items that we can’t ship by post are:

Rocket motors

Nitro fuel
Spray Paints

Lithium batteries are only able to be shipped via road transport only, and as such are only available to mainland Australia and Tasmania.

Due to the recent changes to the Knife Laws in QLD, we are unable to send by post/courier knives or blades as we are unable to verify evidence of age on delivery.

International Orders:
We are happy to accept international orders; however we reserve the right to request additional information, or to cancel the order if we are unsatisfied with its legitimacy.
As a security measure, we will only ship to the billing address, unless we are satisfied that the order is genuine.

Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) is not applicable to international orders, however the buyer is responsible for all local sales taxes, as well as import fees and duty.
Hobbies ‘N’ More reserves the right to only ship signature on delivery, or to insist on insurance for international parcels in the case of high risk or high value items.

Availability of products:

Occasionally we may have discrepancies in our stock counts due to theft, human error or other errors beyond our control. We always endeavour to supply the ordered item, but if we are unable to, due to the reasons above, then we will contact you directly to arrange an alternative item or refund.
